When you are planning your holiday and trips abroad to a foreign country, how often do you pay attention to hotel user reviews and ratings? I don't know about you, but whenever I'm about to spend money of something be it online products or airfare, I take the time to look around and research that particular product.
But the question is: should you trust the reviews that you read on those sites? How can you tell if they were written by paid ghost writers or die-hard fans of the product?
Well, there are things you might look out for - things like 5-star rating and no negatives at all.
I've seen quite a few of these and have subsequently realised that they reviewers were paid to promote the product.
That said, The Leicester Square Hotels as you know is having a smashing Christmas promotion - so if you are in or thinking of coming to London for the Christmas, be sure to check their site. One thing though, this is not a promotion.
We happen to love the hotel as we've stayed there every holiday for the past 4 years, so I know what I'm saying when I say they are awesome.

Hotels In Greenwich
As Greenwich is one of the four Olympics boroughs, it's not surprising that the number of requests for nice hotels in Greenwich have quadrupled in the last couple of weeks to the run up to the Olympics. This is great news not only for those in the hotel and hospitality industry, but it also means huge benefit for just about everyone in the lovely royal borough of Greenwich.
Whilst there are countless cheap hotels in Greenwich, some people still prefer mid to top class hotels like Thistle Hotels. What this tells me in effect is that the need for hotels in this part of town is much healthier than most part of London,

Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square Hotel
Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square Hotel - Since the last time I wrote about some of the best hotels in the Leicester Square area, I knew I was missing one other hotel in the city. Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square Hotel is by far one of the most beautiful and top-rated hotels in the world.
For those who are frequent travelers out there, this is sure to be a name they are used to. Along with Leicester square hotels, this one is also located in the very heart of Soho. You are almost always within 2 minutes walking distance from all the theatres and live shows around the West End.
It is also a stones throw away from the Charing Cross hotel by the Charing Cross train and underground stations. It is st No: 3 St. Martin's Street. Just across the road from the very popular Trafalgar Square. In fact, will be looking into the square from one of the many rooms with a balcony.
Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square Hotel was renovated not long ago so expect to find most of the grand interiors to be clean and new. The main entrance has a huge chandelier that illuminates the bar and reception area.
On thing though, there seems to be issues with outside lights getting through to the rooms. There's no way to completely block out the lights no matter how hard you try. But what you can do however, it to ask at the reception for a change of window curtains. I'm very sure the nice and friendly staff at this Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square Hotel won't mind that.
We totally enjoyed our stay at this hotels and could not believe how relatively affordable it was. If you do a search for Cheap Hotel Deals, I'm sure it should be one of the hotels to come up. They are always doing deals to encourage more people to stay and enjoy their time at the hotel.
One thing I've also learned over the years in my travels, is that it really pays to give feedback. You could do it at the desk, write or ring them up to say what your experience was. If you are lucky you could even get something thrown in for you. I'm not saying that is what they do, but only just suggesting.

Cheap Hotels Central London
Cheap hotels central london - Well, today I went on a trip around town working on another project with Ramada Hotel. Although, they don't currently have a hotel in Leicester square area, they boast one of the most affordable hotels in the city. Some of their biggest hotels are on the outskirts of town like Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Their target is business travellers and big earner holiday makers.
For most of the people who frequent this blog, they don't all fall into the business traveller type - these are ordinary holiday makers looking for good times in the city and not ready to spend hundreds on hotel rooms per night. What they are need is Cheap Hotel Deals which I blog about a few days ago.
However, the good news for us is that some of the smaller independent shops as well as theatres in the Leicester square area have been adding their names to our growing list of cheap hotels central London.
Ofcourse, this means that anyone looking for Leicester square hotels will definitely find them. As always,
our aim is to save on hotel rates. One way that most people can save money is by sharing rooms with fellow travellers.
Team up with someone and book double rooms that way up to 3 people can share the cost of the hotel. I've done it
myself and know how cool it feels when you are able to save money on hotels - but make sure you know who you are potentially sharing with.
That is is for today, like I said last time, the list of our recommended hotels in the Leicester square area will be posted along with good cheap hotel deals.

Just like car insurance and credit card loans - don't just settle for the first one you come across. Always look around as there are many providers out there competing against themselves for business. What that means is that they are always ready to compromise on their rates. But that does not in any way mean you should expect sub standard services. In fact, you could even get more services thrown in for you simply by just asking.
That brings us to how to our main point on how to get spend less money on hotels in the city. Cheap Hotels in Leicester Square
When I first started this blog on Leicester Square Hotels, I planned on writing and providing impartial review and advice on how to get good affordable hotels in and around the Leicester Square area of town. Despite been away for over a month, my focus is and will always remain the same.
One thing I believe in is the power of good review - which covers everything one will need to make an informed decision. As a traveller myself, every little opportunity to save on hotels and accommodation in a foreign land is a good thing. With potential hundreds of thousand descending on London this summer for the London Olympics - what better way to search and discover where to stay than to use the power of the internet.
With that in mind, I decided to cover one of the most popular destinations for most visitors. It doesn't matter if this is your first time or you're a regular visitor to these shores - we all want to save as much as we can. Unless of course you have limitless budget - in that case no review of any kind is going to be of any interest to you, not even this one on Leicester Square Hotels.
To kick things off, I'm compiled a list of small to 3-star independent hotels - each with its own review and rates per room. All these hotels have all the main services as standard including free digital satellite HD TVs, wi-fi, Hi-fi, room service, city tours, foreign currency exchange, train times and bus service information leaflets.
If you are lucky enough to be in town on a weekend when there's a movie premier, you may even get a free ticket to see it at the world famous Leicester Square Cinema. Because of the nature of the business most hotels and theatres in the west end and the city routinely give away tickets to top shows and events in town to encourage their guests to come back on another visit.
Anyway, I will find time over the weekend and post the full review here.
